About
Hey, I'm Steven. Nice to meet you.
I photograph weddings in Chatham-Kent and Windsor. My job is simple: make sure you have a great day, and make sure the photos prove it.
11+ years photographing weddings. I've seen every kind of day, so nothing throws me, and I know exactly when to step in and when to let it happen.
How I work
I work alone. One photographer, not a crew with a drone and a megaphone. Fewer people in your face means you relax faster, and relaxed people make better photos.
On the day, I'm the calm one. I keep things on schedule, get the family photos done fast so everyone can get to the bar, and if the weather turns, I've already got a plan B. You just show up and enjoy it. And yes, I'm fully insured, so if your venue asks for proof, I'll send it over.
Not a "photo person"? Most people say that at first. I'll guide you when it helps, then stay out of the way and catch the real stuff.
When the weather and timeline allow, we'll sneak out before the night's over for my signature backlit night portrait. It only takes a few minutes, and you'll see why.
I hold every wedding to the same standard, whether it's 30 guests or 300: every photo in your gallery has to earn its spot.
I know the area
Chatham-Kent, Windsor and the surrounding Essex County area. After all these years of weddings, I know how to find the good light, dodge the wind and keep things moving when it rains. That means less standing around and more time at your party. Getting married further out? Ask, and we'll sort it out.
Off the clock
When I'm not at a wedding, I'm probably at the gym. Pretty easygoing guy. Good luck stressing me out.
"...professional, comfortable and fun to work with..."
What I believe
Three things I'm sure of.
Comfort comes first
Relaxed people make the best photos. My job is to make you forget the camera.
Real beats perfect
The laugh, the tears, the wind in the veil. That's the good stuff.
Light is everything
Golden hour, twinkle lights or one flash after dark. I chase the light so you don't have to think about it.
